Pick your pumpkin, eat food, pet some animals and play some games.

25th & 26th - Boo at the LA Zoo
Hours - 10am - 4pm

Have a safe and spooky Halloween weekend at the Zoo, where fun festivities take place throughout the Zoo during Boo at the L.A. Zoo. Eucalyptus Grove will become a giant Pumpkin Patch with jack-o-lantern carving, photo opportunities, and eerie crafts. The Freaky Fun House at Treetops Terrace will feature Halloween entertainment, tasty treats, face painting, wacky mirrors, and an amusement zone filled with games. All activities are free to GLAZA members and with paid Zoo admission.

31st - Riviera Village

The Riviera Village hosts trick-or-treating the night of Halloween, October 31st! Streets are closed on Catalina from Avenue I to Palos Verdes Boulevard. The festivities start at 4:00 p.m. Jim Gambol and his puppets will be performing.

28th - Haute Dog Howl'oween Parade

The World's Largest Halloween Pet event is back! Costumed canines take to the Long Beach sidewalks raising money for Haute Dogs, a network of community dog rescuers and educators. Before the pet parade there will be bobbing for Howl'oWeenies, A Bulldog Kissing both, and a pet adoption fair. Parade registration grants eligibility to win free Natural Balance dog food for one year, as well as other door prizes to be drawn during the pre-parade festivities. Last year, 550 dogs helped to raise more than $10,000, and even more costumed dogs are expected this year. Vendor & Adoption Fair

The 4th Annual Los Angeles International Tamale Festival / Dia de los Muertos will take place at 2008 MacArthur Park on 7th Street & Alvarado in LA. Tamale eating contests, bands, booths for shopping, kids zone and much much more.
