Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd - "Taste in San Pedro" in San Pedro
Hours - Sat 11am - 9pm : Sunday 11am - 7pm
Costs - General - $10 : Senior, Military, Children - 4-17 - $5 : Kids 3 & under - free
- Parking - free (first come first serve - and boy is it limited)
This will be our 4th year going. Bring your sunscreen, lawn chairs, a blanket to lay out and fun stuff (frisbee/ hackysack). This is at a park enviroment where you claim out your area with your chairs and people, listen to music, relax, eat and drink. There is light shopping, some kids activities and TONS of food. You purchase samples of foods from all the restraunts using "taste tickets". The great thing is you don't get full at just one location and get to sample all the fine dining and not so fine dining in san pedro.
FOOD - I recommend everything! The artichoke dip has to be one of the all time bests. Peach cobbler is also a hit.
BOOZE - There are 3 beer locations. Granted one will have a line around the whole place and the other empty. But they are fast. Beer must be bought with taste tickets
SMOKERS - No designated place! Its a wide open area, smoke away
AGAIN - I haven't missed it once since i first started going
I will be going to the Taste in San Pedro, but this soudns good as well so thought i would share. If you go please let me know how it was and eat some corn for me - YUM
FOOD - Says "Hot buttry corn on the cob, great sandwichs, sweet warm funnel cakes and other tasty treats
Weekend 8th - 10th - Watermelon Festival in Sunland

This will be our first time at this fest. It says carnival rides, petting zoos, music, food, festival marketplace, eating contests, seed spitting contest all day and other contest
FOOD - It says eat heartily and cool off with free watermelon...well i plan on doing just that.
